This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to prepare and clip the different coat types that occur in cross breed dogs.

The unit applies to individuals working in the companion animal industry sector where cross breed dog grooming services are provided. They take responsibility for their own work and for the quality of the work of others. This includes using discretion and judgement in the selection, allocation and use of available resources.
